Und hier kommt das Ergebnis: Das fast komplette Bad! Waschtisch ist auch schon gebaut und muss noch lackiert werden. Puh, das war doch verdammt viel Arbeit aber das Ergebnis befriedigt für alles!
And here the result: The nearly complete bathroom! The washstand is also built but needs some painting before it could be mounted. That was a lot of work and really exhausting, but the resullt is so satisfying!

... geht mit großen Schritten voran und auch andere Baustellen im Knusperhäuschen wurden in Angriff genommen. Männe war mal wieder fleißig und hat wieder tolle Arbeit geleistet, dieses Mal hatte er aber ein paar Helfer ... hier seht ihr unsere Fußbodenheizung, die ist in dem Häuschen notwendig, da ja nichts unterkellert ist und somit ein Bisschen Wärme ins Haus muss ...
...goes on with big steps, also like other workplaces are in progress. My husband was again extremly hard-working and did a great job. This time he had some help from friends...here you can see our floor heating whch is needed in our house as there is no cellar and there must be a little bit of heating for the house...

Stand der Dinge - Where we are

Hi Ihr Lieben,

erstmal: Danke für eure Kommentare.
Ich lese und höre immer wieder den Satz ...werdet Ihr auch mal fertig...oder...hoffentlich wird das keine unendliche Geschichte...

Keine Sorge, wir werden schon noch fertig. Das schöne an dem Häuschen ist: wir haben keinen Druck es morgen fertig zu haben. Es ist sehr gut bewohnbar, mit Heizung, Warmwasser und allen Annehmlichkeiten und es soll ja auch der Ausgleich zum Alltag sein. Und wir müssen es nicht vermieten. Somit easy going. Zudem kann ich einfach nicht nichts tun....

So habe ich mich gerade mal eine Woche nach Canada verp.... um allem zu entfliehen.
Auch das muss ein. Und als Abschiedsgeschenk habe ich etwas ganz tolles, explizit für unser Knusperhäuschen gedacht, bekommen:

3 gerahmte Bilder von unseren Freunden aus Canada. Diese haben eine Insel in der Georgian Bay und als Erinnerung an die wieder einmal schönen Tage dort, haben Sie mir diese wundervollen selbstgemachten vergrößerten Fotos geschenkt. Den Platz im Häuschen werden Sie schon finden, bestimmt.
Die Bilder folgen wenn ich zurück bin.
Wir haben ja schon eine gerahmte alte US Karte von unseren Freunden aus den USA bekommen, welche auch im Haus hängt. So wird unser Knusperhäuschen so langsam "international".

Unser Tag hat natürlich nicht mehr Stunden als bei jedem anderen, aber glücklicherweise habe ich auch tage an denen ich oft sehr viel Abends arbeite und mit Nord Amerika telefonieren und konferieren muss. Somit bleibt öfter auch mal ein Tag unter Woche fürs Häuschen übrig.

Wird schon und danke für Eure Unterstützung hier.

First of all: thanks for your comments.
I often hear and read phrases like....you are sure you ever finish this...or....hope this in not going to be a never ending story.....
But do not care, we will for sure. The good thing about this sweet cottage is: we do not have the pressure to finish it tomorrow. We can live very good there already, have comfort and all amenities you need to live.
Also this work there is kind of a escape from the normal work. and: I cannot do nothing....

I just went over to Canada for a week of holidays and our friends there made me a great present: 3 selfmade photographs in frames from Georgian Bay. They have a cottage on their own island there and I love to be there. As I again was there this time and they know how I love it, they made this special present with the remark: Thats for your cottage, as you always should be remember the time up here. Thank you so much!! We will find a nice spot at the sweet cottage for it.

As our friends from the US made us last year a gift in form of an old US map in a frame for the cottage, this is going to be an "international" one now.

Our day has for sure not more huors than form anybody else. but the good thing is, that sometimes I need to work in the evening to make phonecalls or conferences to North America and so I take the day off and work at the cottage.

We get it done and thanks for your support here.

... die Mauer der Pergola hat Fliesen bekommen und die Innenseite ist zum streichen vorbereitet worden.

Bei der Treppe in den Garten ist es auch weiter gegangen.

Die Rückseite des Hauses ist nun auch gestrichen. Es fehlen nur noch die Umrandungen der Fenster.

Heute hatte ich endlich Zeit die Tür des Gartenhäuschens fertig zu machen.

Ich finde das Geschirr von Green Gate einfach traumhaft ... wie für unser Häuschchen gemacht. Allerdings wird es noch eine Weile dauern, bis es seinen entgültigen Platz gefunden hat.
I love the dishes from green Gate...like made for our cottage.
But it will finally take some time to find his final place.

Ich freu mich schon sooooooooooooooo darauf ... ein bißchen weiß ... ein bißchen bunt ... und ein bißchen "Wir" in unser Häuschen einziehen zu lassen.
I am soooooooooooo looking forward to it....a little bit of white......a little bit of colored....and a bit "us" moving into our sweet cottage.

Diese Gelegenheit muss ich jetzt auch einfach mal nutzen und einen dicken "SCHMATZA" an meinen Schatz zu schicken. Ich bewundere deine Energie und dein Durchhaltevermögen bei der Umsetzung deiner Ideen im Knusperhäuschen.

Neues Bad - New Bathroom

Wie ich schon angedeutet hatte:
das neue Bad im Keller ist nun dran.
Nach dem Austausch der Balken und
neuen Öltanks mit Befüllung von aussen,
neuen Abwasserleitungen und diversen anderen
Vorarbeiten geht es nun mit großen Schritten voran.
As I said before: the new bathroom in the
basement is now ready to be built.
After changing some joists, new oiltanks with
the possibility to refill from outside, new waste
water drains and several other preworks we
are now moving ahaed with big steps.

Hier nun einen Blick auf die Warmluftleitung in der Decke des neuen Bades.
Here you can see the warm air pipes with outlets in the ceiling of the new bathroom.

Ein Blick auf den Ventilator, welcher die Warmluft aus der Heizung im 1. Stock heruntersaugt und in die Verteilerleitungen bläst. Alles nicht so einfach unten zu heizen wenn Warmluft nach oben steigt...
This is a view on the vent which pulls the warm air from the heating down in the new bathroom.
All not that easy to heat the basement, if the heating is on the first floor and hot air is normally ascending...

Und damit Ihr auch seht, dass nicht alles "frei Schnauze" geplant ist, hier meine Planung:

Sicherheit - Safety

Der Träger liegt schon lange da: das Fundament wurde erst vor ein paar Wochen gemacht.
Jetzt ist die Abstützung der "krummen" Hauswand fertig.
Ob es nötig war? Wer weiss, aber jetzt bin ich beruhigter.
The steel joist was there since last year: now the foundation is there since a few weeks.
Now the brace support for the "bended" wall of the house is finished.
Was there a need for? Who knows, but now I feel relieved.

Zaun - Fence

So wollte ich es haben: die französischen Lilien sollten genauso rostig werden wie der Zaun selbst. Nun ist es soweit. Sonne und Regen haben ihre Arbeit getan.
Now it is like I wanted it to be: the french lile on top of the fence are as rusty as the fence.
Sun and rain have done the work.
I love it!

Neue Pergola - New Pergola

Es bot sich einfach an:
neben die alte Pergola noch eine hinzusetzen.
Hat viel Spass gemacht sie zu bauen.
Noch eine Regenrinne und an die alte auch gleich eine neue und
das Provisorium entfernen und es passt.
I had to do it: beside the old pergola a new one. It was a lot of fun building it.
A new drain for the new one and laso for the old one and the interim solution is gone.

Ein Gartenhäuschen habe ich auch gleich darunter gebaut.
Es war noch so viel altes Holz "übrig".
Tür kommt noch.
I have built a shed under it. Save and dry.
There was so much old wood "left over".
The door will be built soon.

Und was braucht man ab und an noch für einen gemütlichen Abend?

Fernsehen. Dazu benötigt man auch die Sat-schüssel

Televison. Therfore the sat-antenna.

Der nächste Schritt/ The next step

Und weiter geht es:
Im Garten haben wir das Gestrüpp entfernt.
Der alte Zaun wurde entfernt und dann habe ich eine, zugegebenermaßen, ungewöhnliche Konstruktion eines neuen Zaunes begonnen:
Baueisenstäbe habe ich zu einem Zaun verschweisst und auf die etwas dickeren Pfosten französische lilien auf gusseisen aufgeschweisst. Noch nicht ganz fertig aber mir gefällt es.

And it goes on:
We removed the brushwood from the garden.
the old fence is removed and I have found an unusual way to built a new one: normal construction steel/iron is used to built the new fence. On top of the thicker poles i have welded french lilies made out of casted iron. Not complete but it looks great!

Um ehrlich zu sein: so sollte es nicht werden!
Eigentlich wollte ich den Holzträger über den Stahlträgern entfernen und ersetzen. Aber es sitzt eine Mauer darüber und es gab kein Weg ohne immensen Aufwand um diesen herauszubekommen. Also habe ich Stahlträger genommen und als Stützen eingebaut. natürlich alles schön verschweisst. Selbst gemacht natürlich. Danke für den Schweisskurs letztes Jahr mein Schatz!

To be honest: thats not like i wanted it!
The pole on top of the steel stands should have to be removed, but there was no way to get it out. There is a wall on top and it would have been an enormous work to remove all this and built it up again. So I fixed it with the steel poles. Welding at his best! I am proud to have it done on my own. Thanks for the welding course darling!

Verbesserungen / Improvements

Und ja, es ist natürlich noch mehr passiert. Dach wurde ausgebessert und mit Ortgangblechen und Wandanschlussblechen fertiggestellt.
Im Garten ist das Fundament für den Stützträger fertig. Auch das Fundament für die Mauer an der Pergola ist gemacht. Kräutergarten wieder aufgeräumt. Leider hat es unser Olivenbäumchen nicht über den harten Winter geschafft. Und vieles mehr. Bilder folgen.

And yes, there was more happening in the last weeks. The improvements on the roof are finished.
In the garden the basement for the support girder is finished. Also the basement for the wall at the pergola is finished. The garden for the herbs is cleaned. Unfortunately our olive tree did not make it over the strong winter we had. And lots more. Picture are coming up soon.
