Knusperhäuschen ... aber das ist natürlich nicht so. Auch in unserem

Flur im oberen Stock ist endlich etwas Normalität eingezogen.

Decken und Wände wurden verputzt und

neu tapeziert und Lampen sind auch eingezogen ...
...you for sure think there is no more action...
but it is not like this. Our corridor on the first floor is now finished. Walls and ceiling is painted and new lamps are mounted.

nichts mehr zu tun ... in Wirklichkeit gibt es immer noch
Arbeiten, die man einfach nicht gerne zeigt,

weil ... man möchtes es doch schön haben, gelle. 

We do not want you to get the impression, there is nothing more to do....reality is different and we have still a lot of things to do....and there is some of the work, you do not really want to show....but we want to have it nice, right.

... auch im untersten Stock mußten Balken neu ersetzt werden. Hier konnten wir nicht alle Balken ersetzen und so mußten Unterstützungen aus Stahl Hilfe leisten. Da das aber nicht wirklich schön ist, hat Männe gestern die Balken mit altem Holz verkleidet. Es ist wirklich toll geworden und das Haus behält seinen Charm.
also on the lowest level we needed to have beams changed. Here we were not able to do this, so we supported the beam with a metal structur. But as this does not look nice, Bob the builder decided yesterdday to have the metal covered with wood. It looks great and the house keeps its charm.

♥♥♥ aus dem Knusperhäuschen ... ♥♥♥....of the sweet cottage....♥♥♥

... lange ist es jetzt her, daß wir aus dem Knusperhäuschen erzählt haben ... das lag einfach daran, daß wir es für ein paar Monate Freunden überlassen hatten. Jetzt endlich haben wir es wieder und haben auch schon ein Wochenende dort verbracht ... und es war sooooooooooooo schön ... und so langsam zieht jetzt auch die Gemütlichkeit ein ... auch wenn es an der einen oder anderen Stelle schon wieder einiges zu tun gibt ... aber so ist das halt, nach über 300 Jahren blättert eben auch der Lack ab ... 

Long time ago we got some news for you....the reason is simple: we gave the cottage to some friends for a while. Now we got it back and spend the first weekend possible there...and it was sooooo nice.....finally coziness is coming back.....also as there are some things do to at one or the other end.....but thats the way it goes, and after 300 years some stuff needs a repaint....

... Geschirrtücher von Piep machen sich als Tischdecke hervorragend "lach" ... alles wird eben umfunktioniert . dish towels form Piep are also fine as table cloth "lol"...we convert everything...

 ... das Dekoherz hab ich bei unserem letzten Bummel entdeckt ... es ist wie gemacht fürs Häuschen ...

... das Geschirr von Green Gate hat in der Vitrine jetzt auch endlich seinen Platz gefunden ...
the dish from Greengate finally found his place in the glass cabinet....

... und auch ein süßes Kaffeeservice ist eingezogen ...
and this sweet cofee set moved in too...

 ... noch ein bißchen Deko ...

... und endlich schöne Blumentöpfe ...

... und so sieht es also momentan in unserem Wohnzimmer aus ... Uns gefällt es :-)
and thats how our living room looks like right now.....we love it :-)

... in nächster Zeit wird es wohl öfter hier was zu lesen geben, es gibt noch jede Menge zu tun aber wir genießen die Zeit in unserem Häuschen immer mehr.
in the near future you find some more Posts here again, there is still a lot to do, but we enjoy the time in our sweet cottage more and more.

... die Decke wurde mit neuem Rigips verkleidet ...

mittlerweile ist sie auch schon verputzt und gestrichen ...

und Lampen hängen auch schon ...

aber das beim nächsten Mal :-)

Und hier kommt das Ergebnis: Das fast komplette Bad! Waschtisch ist auch schon gebaut und muss noch lackiert werden. Puh, das war doch verdammt viel Arbeit aber das Ergebnis befriedigt für alles!
And here the result: The nearly complete bathroom! The washstand is also built but needs some painting before it could be mounted. That was a lot of work and really exhausting, but the resullt is so satisfying!

Jetzt noch ein Paar Details, etwas Farbe hier und da und dann ist es komplett.
Now some more details, a little bit of apint here and there and it is complete.

... geht mit großen Schritten voran und auch andere Baustellen im Knusperhäuschen wurden in Angriff genommen. Männe war mal wieder fleißig und hat wieder tolle Arbeit geleistet, dieses Mal hatte er aber ein paar Helfer ... hier seht ihr unsere Fußbodenheizung, die ist in dem Häuschen notwendig, da ja nichts unterkellert ist und somit ein Bisschen Wärme ins Haus muss ...
...goes on with big steps, also like other workplaces are in progress. My husband was again extremly hard-working and did a great job. This time he had some help from friends...here you can see our floor heating whch is needed in our house as there is no cellar and there must be a little bit of heating for the house...

... gefließt wurde auch schon ... wir lieben Mosaikfliessen und die durften in unserem Häuschen natürlich

auch nicht fehlen ... hier soll unser Waschtisch seinen Platz finden ...
...some of the tiles are now there too...we love the mosaic tiles and there should not be missed in our house.... here you can see the place for the washstand...

... auch die WC-Ecke geht mit großen Schritten voran ...

.. für den Boden haben wir uns Fliessen mit Holzoptik ausgesucht ... also mir gefällts ...

und demnächst schau ich mir das mal in Natura an ...

Stand der Dinge - Where we are

Hi Ihr Lieben,

erstmal: Danke für eure Kommentare.
Ich lese und höre immer wieder den Satz ...werdet Ihr auch mal fertig...oder...hoffentlich wird das keine unendliche Geschichte...

Keine Sorge, wir werden schon noch fertig. Das schöne an dem Häuschen ist: wir haben keinen Druck es morgen fertig zu haben. Es ist sehr gut bewohnbar, mit Heizung, Warmwasser und allen Annehmlichkeiten und es soll ja auch der Ausgleich zum Alltag sein. Und wir müssen es nicht vermieten. Somit easy going. Zudem kann ich einfach nicht nichts tun....

So habe ich mich gerade mal eine Woche nach Canada verp.... um allem zu entfliehen.
Auch das muss ein. Und als Abschiedsgeschenk habe ich etwas ganz tolles, explizit für unser Knusperhäuschen gedacht, bekommen:

3 gerahmte Bilder von unseren Freunden aus Canada. Diese haben eine Insel in der Georgian Bay und als Erinnerung an die wieder einmal schönen Tage dort, haben Sie mir diese wundervollen selbstgemachten vergrößerten Fotos geschenkt. Den Platz im Häuschen werden Sie schon finden, bestimmt.
Die Bilder folgen wenn ich zurück bin.
Wir haben ja schon eine gerahmte alte US Karte von unseren Freunden aus den USA bekommen, welche auch im Haus hängt. So wird unser Knusperhäuschen so langsam "international".

Unser Tag hat natürlich nicht mehr Stunden als bei jedem anderen, aber glücklicherweise habe ich auch tage an denen ich oft sehr viel Abends arbeite und mit Nord Amerika telefonieren und konferieren muss. Somit bleibt öfter auch mal ein Tag unter Woche fürs Häuschen übrig.

First of all: thanks for your comments.
I often hear and read phrases like....you are sure you ever finish this...or....hope this in not going to be a never ending story.....
But do not care, we will for sure. The good thing about this sweet cottage is: we do not have the pressure to finish it tomorrow. We can live very good there already, have comfort and all amenities you need to live.
Also this work there is kind of a escape from the normal work. and: I cannot do nothing....

I just went over to Canada for a week of holidays and our friends there made me a great present: 3 selfmade photographs in frames from Georgian Bay. They have a cottage on their own island there and I love to be there. As I again was there this time and they know how I love it, they made this special present with the remark: Thats for your cottage, as you always should be remember the time up here. Thank you so much!! We will find a nice spot at the sweet cottage for it.

As our friends from the US made us last year a gift in form of an old US map in a frame for the cottage, this is going to be an "international" one now.

Our day has for sure not more huors than form anybody else. but the good thing is, that sometimes I need to work in the evening to make phonecalls or conferences to North America and so I take the day off and work at the cottage.

We get it done and thanks for your support here.
